Is Sam Worthington already getting overexposed? As much as I like him he sure is being treated like the flavor of the year. The "Avatar" and "Terminator Salvation" actor is about to appear in "Clash of the Titans" and is setting his sights on Universal's hand in the vampire cookie jar "Dracula Year Zero". For an actor that no one knew a year ago he has already filled the shoes of multiple amazing characters that most actors consider themselves lucky enough if they can be chosen to be even one in their entire career.
I liked Worthington in "Terminator:Salvation" and he looks good in the "Clash" trailer, but will audiences tire of the actor when he represents every heroic character on screen this year? Not only that but in a vampire movie no less. If there is one thing that needs a break it's Vampires on screen. I guess since Universal brought us the original "Dracula", it's only right they give the genre a go once more.
Year Zero is reported by "Variety" to focus on the origins of Dracula with mythology and true history intertwined. according to Variety Alex Proyas will direct and Michael De Luca will produce. If Sam Worthington can get the work more power to him, I just hope he doesn't get his own line of clothes at Target right away.
